a Joke..1

A man is strolling past the mental hospital and suddenly remembers an important meeting.

Unfortunately, his watch has stopped, and he cannot tell if he is late or not. Then, he notices a patient similarly strolling about within the hospital fence.

Calling out to the patient, the man says, “Pardon me, sir, but do you have the time?”

The patient calls back, “One moment!” and throws himself upon the ground, pulling out a short stick as he does. He pushes the stick into the ground, and, pulling out a carpenter’s level, assures himself that the stick is vertical.

With a compass, the patient locates north and with a steel ruler, measures the precise length of the shadow cast by the stick.

Withdrawing a slide rule from his pocket, the patient calculates rapidly, then swiftly packs up all his tools and turns back to the pedestrian, saying, “It is now precisely 3:29 pm, provided today is August 16th, which I believe it is.”

The man can’t help but be impressed by this demonstration, and sets his watch accordingly.

Before he leaves, he says to the patient, “That was really quite remarkable, but tell me, what do you do on a cloudy day, or at night, when the stick casts no shadow?” The patient holds up his wrist and says, “I suppose I’d just look at my watch.”

Of MMU,school and SPM..0

The title doesn’t make sense, I know.

Well to begin with, it’s been almost a month since my last update. People are starting to ask me if I’m abandoning my blog.

No.
I’m not abandoning my blog. Just been a little too busy adapting to my new life in University.
Still, I’m struggling to adapt, being far from mom, dad and brothers is kind of hard to take at first…but ah well, and I’m doing pretty good running up and down to JB every-single -week- from Melaka just to be with grandma on weekends.

Not doing my laundry is just an excuse to see them. Ha-ha-.

Well, now I’m on my very first semester break. On holiday for more than 3 weeks.
What bliss.

Now, about my University life in Melaka.

To start with, I have no means of transport .So; I’m left with no choice but walking and transport bus.
And Melaka is very, very hot.
Having to walk to classes and shops made me appreciate my rides with mom…MOM!!

Talking about her, she never fails to call me twice, the least everyday, one in the morning (she’s my morning alarm call) and one in the night. Just to make sure I made through the day.
And also multiple calls from dad. He calls me a thousand times a day. This is the only thing he says on the phone.

I cannot go out after 8.
I cannot go out with friends at all.
I cannot drive in Melaka.
I cannot flirt. Meaning, NO GIRLFRIEND.

Lucky thing I’ve found some real good friends in MMU, housemates, Yogen and Kumar are really helpful.
Khaled and his international friends are always there whenever I accidentally lock my room (which happens quite often).

Lecturers are good, my favorite is Mdm.Noradzilah. She is so funny. Don’t know why she has the tendency to call Indian guys from other groups with my name. Pity them. AND, she notices every time I don’t comb my hair. How cool can a lecturer be?

Life is pretty hectic there. Exams, tutorials, assignments are always handed in at the verge of deadlines.
You can’t blame us though. We are still getting used to it. Glad my friends always know of stuff that happens. Unbelievable. They always know all the dates and deadlines. And I don’t even know when my sem break ends. Pfff.

And…*drum rolls*

CHICKS…

The chicks…

I guess I’ll save that for another day.
