RACISM ? HERE IN MY PLACE ? TO ME ? WHAT THE..
Some racism here in Malaysia ..
Specifically in a small town in Sitiawan.
Let me tell you the incident that actually happened to me ..
I wanted a shoe ..
The Chinese guy sells shoes..
Get it ?That’s how it is supposed to work.
I went to his shop..
He asked me what I want ..
Me : Uncle, can I look at those sandals ?
Racist Ass:These shoes are expensive(with his racist look ) ..You can look at that side.. those are cheap..
Imagine the look on my face ..
He just got me onto my nerves..
What kind of person do you take me as ?
Some kind of cheap beggar or something ..??
me: (Disgusted smile) .. No uncle..I want to see those shoes..How much is that sandals ..(pointing at a particular shoe ) ..
Racist Ass: This one ar ?? This one is 49.90(As if that is the most expensive shoe in the world and we Indians cannot buy them.
Me :Ohh..(although I wanted to get those shoes ..) Uncle this one too cheap la..
You got any expensive one ar ??
(padan muka ..Kutuk people some more)
Racist Ass :Got..Behind there..(meaning, Stay away from that place .It’s only for my people.Anyway, no point you go there , too expensive for you to buy)
me : (Pointing at 1 moderate looking sandals) This one how much ?
Racist Ass :This one ah..good quality but very expensive. 79 ++. This one also..
me :Uncle ..no need explain la. I’ll take this.
Racist Ass :Ok.(yeah right, like That’s going to happen)
me :Got other colour ?
Racist Ass : No ..This one 1 colour only.
me:(ha.. ha..payback time) You say this one very expensive but no other colour ? (Giving him the you are sooo freaking cheap look).
How the hack can he say nonsense to customers ?? The customers should judge whether the item is expensive or otherwise.
Stupid racist. The other Chinese Customers were treated with extra care although they did not buy anything.
And you know what , after I bought the sandals, then he asked me,
“You studying college ?”(in a pathetic attempt to start a talk.)

These things happen here in KL too off and on LOL!!! Even at work it happens…but normally I don’t bother…keep quiet and usually outperform these type of idiots and only then they too come with pathetic attempts to talk to me….sometimes they are raised that way…to be shallow.

Chinese are brought up to be racists. Because they are economically successful in Asia, by default. But in western countries, they are confined to their small shops in pathetic china towns, selling small trinkets, food stuff, prostitutes etc. the usual…hahaha. The racists ones are usually the poorer, less educated, chinese schools ones – like Namewee. The more educated ones are usually ok.
But I think , he is educated ..
Judging by the bluetooth on his ears…
Or maybe , he is just portraying the educated look with a simple gadget he doesn’t even know how to use ..

How you know he acted that way because you are Indian? Maybe it is because the way you dress or the way you look (eg. torn jeans, didn’t comb hair, beggar like etc)
By making an assumption you are being ill treated bcos you are an Indian are racist. Pointing fingers at others and asking for sympathy when you yourself is racist are acts of beggars.
Go to any boutique in StarHill or Lot10, i bet you will be treated the same. You want revenge? get rich.
By the way, Ananda Krishnan is racist too.

Well…the shoe seller may be racist, or maybe he is not.But to generalize a single race to be full of racists is itself an act of racism. Be it Indian, Chinese or Malay…each have their share of racists….usually the racists are of the older generation …our generation of Malaysians are mostly made up of ppl who have never lived in a mono-ethnic society..we grew up buying bread from the Indian uncle, helping the Chinese aunty in her garden, going to the Malay uncle’s house for Raya and playing with their kids every evening.
Thats how I grew up.
Aiden maybe is wrong in thinking that the shopkeeper treated him that way bcos he is an Indian but Not Racist’s
suggestion that Aiden should get rich to get his revenge is way out the system.

And This incident happened twice to me and I do hear people saying similar things about the owner.This is a small town.
Rather than saying The Chinese is a racist, lets put it into, the owner is a racist. There’s a difference in that, don’t you think Ramanan ?

on your feedback to Andy Low saying that he uses Bluetooth handsfree, do you know that in Malaysia, most of them who use Bluetooth handsfree are AhBengs.?
in UK, ONLY executive level uses Bluetooth handsfree..in Malaysia, almost everyone is using Bluetooth handsfree but mostly not executive level or educated people..that’s what we called AhBeng..
ha ha..so , the owner a.k.a Ahbeng is actually only trying to cover his uneducated self with handsfree la ?
in my opinion the sandals were racist!!! am i makin any sense…i guess not…i guess should not make any comments…
well,i think Aiden says the owner is racist not all Chinese are racists. so why don’t we just rest the case. i even get the u-cheap-bugger-u-cant-buy-this look from a clip seller in Kg.Koh pasar pagi..i purposely bought the clips eventho they were expensive. racists exist everywhere. and pointing them out doesnt make us a racist,i think.
