WordPress Database backup

OK This post is for someone out there who can help me.
I am still new to wordpress so I can seem to fugure out how to backup my database.
was about to upgrade to a new version of wordpress when it says that i need to
”Before proceeding, backup your database, WordPress files, and your entire site.”

So anyone can help me out here.

How do you do backup?

    Plugins -> WordPress Database Backup Plugin -> Activate

    Manage -> Back Up -> Follow Instruction.

    Else, you can use this plugin and follow the instructions. It will provide you a back up for everything and upgrade your wordpress.

    Jason..I need to thank you sooooooooooo much..
    I thought I need to do back up and then upgrade to the latest wordpress..
    But the plugin you gave was simply amazing.
    It did all the work for me.
    Now i DON’T NEED TO WORRY about upgrading because it is automated ..

    1 question.If you messed up when doing something, how do you restore the site to it’s original state using the backup done earlier ?
    Just replace it in the FTP is it ?
